Travaasa Hana, Maui

Set on the quiet, secluded east coast of Maui, the luxurious Travaasa Hana, Maui is a beautiful all-inclusive resort with a stunning lush setting overlooking Hana Bay. Although it lacks direct beach access -- the closest beach is a 10-minute drive away -- the hotel provides free shuttles and the area is packed with fabulous hiking and waterfalls. This 69-acre property is packed with top-notch facilities, including a full-service spa, two outdoor pools and a hot tub, and excellent dining at Preserve Kitchen + Bar. Free daily activities such as yoga, hula and ukulele lessons, and guided meditation are provided, plus for-fee experiences include horseback riding and stand-up paddleboarding. The 71 suites and bungalows are large and attractive, all with couches, separate tubs and showers, and free welcome banana bread, but no TVs to enhance the tranquility. The all-inclusive package includes three meals daily, coffee and bottled water, transportation to and from Hana Airport, and a $175 resort credit per person per day, which can be used toward spa treatments and private classes.
Royal Lahaina Resort

Although not the most luxurious and not a true all-inclusive, the family-owned, mid-range Royal Lahaina is a popular option in Maui for couples and families alike, thanks to stellar luaus and charming cottages. It's located a 15-minute walk outside famous Kaanapali's main strip, allowing for a quiet and isolated beachfront. The resort packs a ton of leisure facilities into its grounds, including two small oceanfront pools, two hot tubs, a whopping 11 tennis courts (five with lights for nighttime play), and a small spa with a room for couples' massages. Nightly oceanfront luaus are popular events, offering all-you-can buffets (with a special kids' buffet), free cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages, dancing and fire performances, live Hawaiian music, and an Imu ceremony to unearth the roast pig. Dining options on-site include an all-day ocean-view eatery, ice cream shop, and beach bar. The Royal Lahaina Resort doesn't offer a true all-inclusive package, but it does have a Royal Romance Package that includes daily buffet breakfasts, a private oceanside dinner, Myths of Maui luau, and $150 food and beverage credit per room per stay.
Royal Kona Resort

Similar to the Royal Lahaina, the Royal Kona Resort isn't a true all-inclusive property, but it offers a couple of packages that help cut down on costs. This mid-range hotel has a gorgeous location on the western coast of the Island of Hawaii, with private lagoon access, an oceanfront setting on a volcanic outcropping, and walking distance to downtown Kona. The 436 rooms here are low on frills, but they all come with private balconies -- most with at least a partial ocean view -- coffeemakers with Kona coffee, and flat-screen TVs. Features consist of a small oceanfront swimming pool, a traditional luau three days per week, a spa and fitness center, and tennis courts. There's a Royal Experience Package that includes daily breakfast buffets, a sunset cocktail and dinner cruise, and entry to the oceanfront Voyagers of the Pacific Luau with free cocktails, an all-you-can-eat buffet, dancing, live music, a fire performance, and a roast pig. An Air-Inclusive Package is also available for those that want to combine flight and hotel costs.
