Jade Mountain Resort
Soufriere, Soufriere Quarter, St. Lucia
With an innovative design of open fourth walls, private in-room infinity pools, jaw-dropping views and wood canopied beds, the Jade Mountain's are arguably the most romantic rooms on St. Lucia. The unwavering silence, doting service, organic cuisine and lack of technology (no TVs or radios in rooms), make it the perfect spot for an upscale romantic getaway.
Marigot Bay Resort and Marina
Marigot Bay, Castries Quarter, St. Lucia
With a romantic locale, a gorgeous spa, excellent dining options both on-site and around the hotel, and attentive service, the Capella is a wonderful choice for couples. Rooms are beautiful, with lots of dark wood accents, large windows, and a stylish décor, and many have private plunge pools in the terrace and kitchens, so you won't even have to leave your room.
Ladera Resort
Soufriere, Soufriere Quarter, St. Lucia
The Ladera is very similar in design and décor to the Jade Mountain, but is significantly cheaper. Rooms are tree house-style villas with an open fourth wall boasting impressive views of the Pitons and the sea, elegant wood furnishings, canopied beds, and ceiling fans. Many even have a private plunge pool with dramatic views. In addition to an open-air restaurant and bar, two quiet pools, and a lovely spa with black water pools, the hotel has a wedding pavilion for those who wish to tie the knot with one of the most stunning views as a backdrop.
Cap Maison
Cap Estate, Gros Islet Quarter, St. Lucia
The Cap Maison is one of the quieter and more subdued resorts on the island's northern end. It features plenty of opportunities for pampering and serenity, and though some families do choose to stay here, the resort is geared more toward couples and has a serene vibe. The charming spa, mellow pools, elegant cliff-top restaurant with stunning views, small, intimate beach, and gorgeous rooms make for a great romantic getaway.
Calabash Cove Resort and Spa
Gros Islet, Gros Islet Quarter, St. Lucia
Those looking to spend some quality time with their significant other will probably appreciate the secluded location, spacious rooms with private balconies, and solid dining options. Whether at the stunning infinity pool, the open-air restaurant and spa, the cozy library, or on the private beach, guests can enjoy stunning Caribbean Sea views.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Rodney Bay, Gros Islet Quarter, St. Lucia
The newest of the three Sandals resorts on St. Lucia, Sandals Grande is a 301-room, upscale, couples-only resort that's set on a peninsula adjacent to Pigeon Island, a historic national landmark. Its signature pool with a huge tower and swim-up bar is the center of the action, a place where young honeymooners mix and mingle. Three other (quieter) pool areas, a slew of water sports (including unlimited scuba), a beautiful spa, and eight restaurants, including an authentic British Pub, help keep guests occupied. Club Level and Butler Level rooms are available for upgraded service.
BodyHoliday Saint Lucia
Cap Estate, Gros Islet Quarter, St. Lucia
The Body Holiday bills itself as a place to refresh, refocus, and reenergize, and the resort offers guests plenty of opportunity to accomplish these tasks. The 154-room upscale, all-inclusive resort is one of the most luxurious on St. Lucia, with daily rates that rise above nearby Sandals resorts and Rendezvous, the sister resort to the Body Holiday. Accommodations are set in a series of buildings built into the hillside overlooking Pigeon Island National Park and a secluded cove and white-sand beach. The huge temple-like wellness center is the hub for daily spa treatments, but there are also endless activities from yoga toarchery to motivate guests to stay active.
Rendezvous Resort
Castries, Castries Quarter, St. Lucia
Founded in 1966, Rendevous is an established all-inclusive, upscale resort that caters specifically to couples. Set on the shores of the white-sand Malabar Beach close to St. Lucia's capital city, the 100-room resort is both intimate and grand. Property features include two pools, a spa, and tennis, and rooms have sophisticated tropical style. The main restaurant has fabulous ocean views but the cuisine is a bit bland, and the planes coming and going at the neighboring airport can be noisy.
Ti Kaye Resort & Spa
Anse Cochon, Anse la Raye Quarter, St. Lucia
Ti Kaye, which means "little house" in Creole, is an intimate rustic-luxe resort with 33 private cottages built into a hillsideoverlooking the Caribbean. The resort's way-off-the-beaten track location, accessed via a precariously steep and bumpy road, means it’s a hassle to leave once you check in. Yet the difficult location is also one of the reasons guests come to Ti Kaye -- they come to relax, unplug, re-connect, and lounge in quiet isolation all the while enjoying gourmet cuisine and wines from St. Lucia's largest cellar.
Anse Chastanet
Soufriere, Soufriere Quarter, St. Lucia
Opened in 2000, the 49-room Anse Chastanet Resort was one of the first properties to focus on eco-luxury design, and to deliberately shun technology such as TV, telephones, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. The resort offers four open-air restaurants, two beaches, extensive water sports, a beachfront spa, and an outdoor fitness pavilion. Technology-free rooms have wrap-around terraces, many with views of the Pitons. For the price, guests might expect the standard rooms to be a bit more spacious; however, free extras such as daily afternoon tea, twice daily yoga classes, and non-motorized water sports add value. While there is no fitness center or pool, the peaceful location with direct beach access is a serious perk.
Stonefield Villa Resort
Soufriere, Soufriere Quarter, St. Lucia
Stonefield Estate Villa is a rustic, upscale resort with 18 plantation-style villas set on 26 acres of gorgeous rainforest. Amenities include an exceptional spa, a cliff-top pool, and an open-air restaurant and bar. The property is deliberately unplugged -- meaning villas lack TVs and telephones -- but the stunning atmosphere, and the villas themselves, are worth it for those who can go technology free for a while. The villas are quite spacious, with separate living areas, dining spaces, bedrooms, andkitchens or kitchenettes. And the bathrooms feature an outdoor/indoor shower. The best part, though, may be the private terrace connected to each villa, with a private pool -- and can't-be-beat views of Petit Piton. The only potential drawback for some may be the lack of beach access, but the hotel provides free shuttle to and from a couple of nearby beaches.
